This is an exciting time for the EGS. Over the last few years we have introduced a new website and enhanced its educational content, introduced the first EBO subspecialty exams (FEBOS-glaucoma diploma), continued the ever-popular European Glaucoma Residents' Course and introduced the Next Generation Partnership to mentor and support the next generation of EGS leaders.
In the coming year, we look forward to celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the trabeculectomy at the 13th EGS Congress in Florence, planning the 5th Edition of the EGS Glaucoma Guidelines, developing the output from the successful 2017 London EGS Members' Meeting to implement a framework to measure outcomes of glaucoma care across Europe, implementing a Continuing Professional Development platform on the EGS website, and supporting the development of patient organizations around Europe.
There is a lot to do, especially as we prepare for the 40th Anniversary of the EGS in 2020! Please join us in these important EGS activities. Become a member of the EGS and get involved!
The EGS Executive wishes all EGS members and friends a happy and productive 2018
